PORTS AND AIRPORTS DEVELOPMENT LEVY ACT, No. 18 OF 2011

Order under section 3

BY virtue of the powers vested in me by Sub-section (3) of Section 3 of the Ports and Airports Development Levy Act, No. 18 of 2011, I, Mahinda Rajapaksa, Minister of Finance do hereby this Order amend Orders published in the Extraordinary Gazette Notifications Nos. 2177/4 of May 26, 2020 and 2198/57 of October 23, 2020, as amended, by replacing Sub-paragraphs (m) and (n) of Paragraph 2, by the substitution of following Sub-paragraphs. (m) Raw materials and packing materials imported by the pharmaceutical manufacturers for the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, on the recommendation of the Secretary to the Ministry in charge of the subjects of Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals subject to the approval of the Director General of Customs. (n) Pharmaceutical machinery and equipment including accessories and spare parts for pharmaceutical machinery and equipment imported by the pharmaceutical manufacturers for the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, on the recommendation of the Secretary to the Ministry in charge of the subjects of Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals, subject to the approval of the Director General of Customs.

This Order shall come in to effect from January 05, 2021.
